THE STONE WITCH

The Westside Theatre Off BWY 2018 | Berkshire Theatre Festival 2016

NETC Regional Awards Berkshire Theater Main Stage: Outstanding Scenic Nomination
Lighting And Sounds America: Henry Hewes Award Nomination for best Scenic and projection collaboration

“The production benefits immensely from Yael Pardess' stunning set, which depicts the interior of Simon's cabin, with its cathedral ceilings, dragons in stained glass, and a view of the forest outside. Brad Peterson's projections layer moving images of animals onto the forest; he also conjures the stone witch from Peter's book, with which Simon becomes obsessed as he disintegrates. (Pardess designed the images, which look like children's book art and are rightly menacing.)”… Lighting and Sound America

“Like most brilliant artists, our veteran author lives in a world that straddles reality and fantasy (rendered with both craft and whimsy by projection designer Brad Peterson, as well as Yael Pardess, who contributes scenic and projection art design that conjures memories of late nights with Maurice Sendak and Lewis Carroll). This binary world is both The Stone Witch's greatest asset” … Theatre Mania

“…an absolutely gorgeous production….the collaboration between Yael Pardess, who designed the set and did the drawings for Projection Designer Brad Peterson, Lighting Designer Betsy Adams, Sound Designer Christopher Cronin and Music Composer Roger Bellon is so stunning…” New York Theatre Guide
